Awesome Cactus, Buy a Different LV Light

"Cant say enough good things about the Desert Steel cactus. So cool in design and artistic execution. Five stars for the cactus, totally worth the premium price. With such quality it's a shame they offer this LED light as an option. The light is OK but why a spot light when the intent is to have light diffuse through the small holes in the statue and "glow" at night. The effect is blinding hot spots inside visible through the holes in the cactus. The true downfall however is the very cheep, tiny connection wires. They are roughly 22 gauge aluminum, with maybe 10 strands. Likely integrated circuit wires, impossible to connect to typical 14 gauge landscape wiring. The wires are so thin and small it is hard to get a quality connection with wire nuts and too small to use a mechanical block like a Wago because the size difference does not fall in a standard range. After some trying outside, I finally went inside and soldered an 18 gauge pigtale on to the tiny wires to bridge the size gap. I'm still concerned with the tiny wire part of the installation from a durability perspective. They are mechanically fragile and I doubt the thin plastic shielding will last through a winter. Get the amazing Desert Steel product but go to a box store and get a diffused LV light with real connection wires for a third of the price to illuminate your masterpiece. ."

Great landscape enhancer

"The lights perform well. Larger gauge wires from light would be helpful."

Return please

"we are going to return - had better lights we hard wired into our existing system. How do I return?"

Disappointed with replacement light

"Replacement light is warm white; original ones are cool white thus they don’t match."

Difficult to install, not good for lighting from the inside

"It was frustrating that the light did not come with an option for a traditional three prong plug. To use it you have to wire it in to a existing lighting system or buy separately an wire it to your own three prong plug. Also, since the light is a spot, it doesn't really produce a nice distribution of light for lighting the piece from the inside. I ended up buying led strips and wrapping them around the inside of the piece to get a better distribution and light up the whole thing. Do not spend money on this unless you want to light a piece from the outside."

"This works as expected."

Veronica (5/5)

Disappointed.

"No instructions were included and this clearly needs another part. It is not user friendly for those who don’t have electrical skills/knowledge. Honestly I don’t know why you’re even selling this. I had to purchase a light from somewhere else. I would like a refund and not to have to pay shipping costs, please."

Customer service

"I have emailed you twice with a question about the barrel cactus light. I have not received any response. I cannot find any info with the light or on your website about the voltage. Is it 12V?"
